What is the "Alliance Française de Moncton?"

The goal of the Alliance Française is to promote the French language and culture. It is the largest worldwide non-profit organization specializing in teaching French as a second language. It was founded in Paris in 1883, and currently operates in 135 countries, providing for over 400,000 students annually. In Canada alone each year more than 10,000 adults and children attend courses offered by the 9 Alliance Française across the country.  The Alliance Française de Moncton was founded in 1999.
